L-Type molybdenum disilicide heating elements are specially structured heating components based on the standard U-Type design, with cold ends bent 90 degrees outward or inward to form L-shaped terminals. This design retains the concentrated hot zone and top wiring advantages of U-Type elements while further optimizing furnace top space utilization to accommodate more complex installation environments.
Manufactured from high-purity MoSi₂ through high-temperature sintering, the hot zone and cold ends are integrally formed with high structural strength at the bent corner, eliminating cracking risk. Widely used in various high-temperature equipment with limited furnace top space, side exit wiring requirements, or special installation angles.

Installation & Operating Precautions
Installation Guidelines
· Furnace top/sidewall openings should be 1.4-1.6 times the cold end diameter to allow thermal expansion
· Avoid additional stress at the right-angle bend; ensure terminal sections are insulated from the furnace body during installation
· Clamps should grip the smooth aluminum-sprayed cold end surface, never on the bent section
· When multiple elements are connected in parallel, resistance matching within 5% deviation is recommended
Operating Precautions
· MoSi₂ elements are brittle at low temperatures; avoid impact and mechanical stress during installation and operation, especially at the right-angle bend
· Gradual temperature ramping is required for initial use; preheating between 200-400℃ is recommended to avoid thermal shock
· Avoid prolonged use in the 400-700℃ range, as low-temperature oxidation can damage the element
· Not suitable for reducing atmospheres, nitrogen atmospheres (above 1350℃), or vacuum environments (at high temperatures)
